What a clear quote should include

Before a larger repair we write down what failed, what we propose to replace or repair, and whether the part is new, genuine, or a stated equivalent. Labour is separate from parts so you can see where the money goes.

If more than one path is reasonable — repair versus replace, or doing the urgent item now and the wear item later — we say so. You should be able to choose without being rushed at the counter.

Approval comes before extra work. If a job opens up something we did not quote, we stop and call. The point of a written scope is that the invoice matches it.
